Since I was a child, one of my dreams was to become a physician particularly because of my experience with my pediatrician, in Tampa, who was dedicated to my care and supported me in achieving my goals. I looked forward to my annual appointment and still wanted to see her even after I graduated high school!
I was born in Inverness, Florida and my family spent a lot of time in Tampa and permanently moved here when I was a toddler. I attended Berkeley Preparatory School followed by the University of Florida majoring in Microbiology and Cell Science. I attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine for medical school and Internal Medicine residency. I am truly a Floridian! I really never wanted to leave Florida!
I am certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Though I lived all over Florida, I always hoped to return to the Tampa Bay Area to serve the community. Before my medical career and even after training, I volunteered at Red Crescent Clinic of Tampa Bay, a free medical clinic serving the uninsured and indigent. Because of all my experiences, I want to dedicate my career to the improvement of people’s health and subsequently, their lives because the truth is “Health is Wealth!”
